We are pleased to announce that iRAP has recently joined the Cities 4 Children Global Alliance.
The alliance is an interdisciplinary network of 22 organisations working together to ensure that child rights are firmly embedded in the urban agenda. Through the Star Rating for Schools programme, iRAP aims to contribute to the inclusion of safe school zones in the urban agenda.
About Cities 4 Children Global Alliance
The Global Alliance – Cities 4 Children was launched on the 9th of February 2020 at the World Urban Forum, at an event co-hosted by Save the Children, UNICEF, IFRC, ARUP and the European Network for Child Friendly Cities. Since then, the membership has expanded to over 20 member organisations. Save the Children chairs the Alliance.
The Global Alliance was established to tackle the huge challenges and numerous issues faced by children living in urban areas, especially the most marginalized children. We believe that together we will achieve greater collective impact and influence, we will avoid replication and siloed work, we will be able to encourage country and city level collaboration and will have a louder voice with joint advocacy and communications geared to change the narrative on urban areas that are fit for children.
