They\u00a0demonstrate\u00a0how evidence-based, low-cost interventions \u2013 such as 30 km\/h limits, bicycle and pedestrian facilities, and traffic calming can make\u00a0a big difference\u00a0in creating safer journeys for all.\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span these,\u00a0<\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">35 locations<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0were formally assessed using the\u00a0<\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Star Rating Mobility Snapshot tool<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">,\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">based on the\u00a0iRAP\u00a0Star Rating\u00a0methodology,\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">providing a deeper understanding of road safety risks and\u00a0identifying\u00a0evidence-based countermeasures to improve safety outcomes.<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0during peak hours, highlighting the scale of exposure to risk.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335551550&quot;:6,&quot;335551620&quot;:6}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Importantly, Mobility Snapshots are already driving change. NGOs have used the evidence to\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">successfully\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">advocate for safer speeds, improved crossings, traffic calming and other people-focused street improvements in countries including Moldova,\u00a0Ecuador\u00a0and Uganda.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;335551550&quot;:6,&quot;335551620&quot;:6}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">For\u00a0iRAP, the initiative\u00a0demonstrates\u00a0the value of combining community-led data with internationally recognised road safety assessment tools.
