From 5 to 7 April 2022, the Asian Development Bank (ADB) will host the Asia and the Pacific Transport Forum 2022<\/a> to discuss how transport will work in a changed world due to COVID-19 and its impacts. The forum will include a series of special webinars and dedicated, online sessions to bring together the expert community and discuss the acceleration of change in transport and mobility.<\/p>\n As part of the pre-forum events (28 March \u2013 1 April), the Asia-Pacific Road Safety Observatory<\/a> will host a special session \u201cSchool Road Safety: accessible, inclusive and safe\u201d. Traffic injury is the leading cause of death for children globally. Many countries and cities are responding to this challenge with step changes in street design, traffic speeds and people\u2019s behaviours to ensure safety in school travel. This session will present leading practice in school road safety and celebrate the growing number of success stories from country practitioners.<\/p>\n The webinar programme will be moderated by David Shelton, Senior Transport Specialist (Road Safety), ADB, and will include as speakers:<\/p>\n\n
