As the world enters the new United Nations Decade of Sustainable Transport (2026\u20132035), Star Rating for Schools (SR4S) is preparing updates to help you better assess and improve road safety for children walking and cycling to school. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n The process <\/span>stays<\/span> largely the<\/span> same, with two main changes.<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n 1. Additional<\/span> road attributes on the coding page<\/span>:<\/span> <\/span><\/strong>These cover<\/span> bicyclist peak hour flow<\/span>, <\/span>cycling facilities, <\/span>intersection <\/span>channelisation<\/span>,<\/span> roadside objects and distances, so you can assess cycling risk alongside pedestrian risk. If you only need pedestrian <\/span>star <\/span>ratings, set bicycle flow to \u201cnot present\u201d and no bicycle <\/span>star <\/span>rating will be generated. A new <\/span><\/span>\u201cZero<\/span>–<\/span>Star\u201d<\/span><\/span> rating <\/span>band, <\/span><\/span>shown in purple<\/span><\/span>, will also be introduced. New questions about bulk upload when you set up a new project:<\/strong> Large projects can enter school details and coding for many locations in a .csv template and upload them all at once with the bulk upload function.
