Safe Roads Safe Kids Project: delivering a safe journey to school <\/strong> According to data reported by the Moroccan\u00a0Comit\u00e9 national de pr\u00e9vention des accidents de la circulation (CNPAC),<\/em>\u00a0young people below the age of 14 represent 15% of all the deaths on Moroccan roads and are most of the time pedestrians. Many of them young kids going or coming back from school.<\/p>\n Against this background, our Lead Partner\u00a0International Road Federation (IRF Geneva)<\/a> and Mobilit\u00e9 Club Maroc (MCM)<\/a>\u00a0have joined hands and initiated the project \u201cSafe Roads, Safe Kids!\u201d thanks also to the support of the FIA<\/a> Road Safety Grant Programme.<\/p>\n Read more on the Safe Roads Safe Kids Project here from the International Road Federation\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n Safe Roads, Safe Kids!<\/em>\u00a0aims at building an evidence-based case that can be replicated in the rest of Morocco and hopefully exported also to other francophone countries. A workshop convening the different partners to the project was organised in Casablanca on 5-7 September 2018. Supported by the FIA Foundation<\/a>, the workshop offered to the participants the opportunity to familiarise both with the methodology developed and used by AMEND<\/a> around schools in Africa and also the SR4S app. Participants to the workshop had a chance to put in practice these methodologies by performing the assessment of a school in an underprivileged area of Casablanca.<\/p>\n
